Kenya has just “won” another prestigious “award” on social media after a photo of Nicole Atieno, a model went viral. She dressed in an outfit resembling one of Beyonce’s outfits on the Gucci SS2016 runway. Actually, Beyonce wore the same outfit in her latest video Formation.
17-year-old Nicole Atieno looked perfect in the outfit. If you compare Beyonce’s photo rocking the same outfit as Nicole’s you can clearly tell that she beat the American superstar at her own game.
Nicole Atieno is clearly following in the footsteps of Ajuma Nasenyana; a fashion model born in Lodwar. Ajuma participated in the New York Fashion Week alongside Naomi Campbell and Alek Wek for designers such as Baby Phat and Carlos Mienes before traveling to Milan to model for fashion houses such as Ungaro during the Italian Fashion Week.
