Seven people died on Saturday morning in a road crash involving a matatu and a lorry-trailer in Mariakani, Mombasa
Kaloleni Acting OCPD Patrick Ngeiywa confirmed the accident, saying the truck heading to Mombasa lost control and veered off the road, hitting the matatu heading to Voi.
The injured, who included the conductor, were taken to Coast General Hospital from Mariakani Hospital where they had first received medical attention.
